Aft Tail Spring Match Drilling Kit
One-time-use kit makes a difficult job much easier. Ready-made fixture allows you to match-drill an undrilled mounting socket to an already-drilled tail spring.
- With the tail spring and old mounting socket in place, clamp the drill fixture in place so that the aluminum piece extends over the bolted area of the mounting socket.
- Drill through the existing holes into the sacrificial aluminum piece.
- Remove the mounting socket, replace with the new mounting socket.
- Carefully align the new mounting socket to plumb.
- Match-drill holes from the aluminum block into the mounting socket.
